As a technician, you’ll work to support our clients’ I.T. environments by identifying and addressing issues as they occur, as well as look for ways to improve their current configurations. Daily tasks will include assisting and closing Help Desk tickets, installing hardware and software, and providing support for clients both remotely and onsite as needed.
Remember: even though it’s a technical job, the key to job performance is making sure that the client is taken care of. That’s why patience, communication and active listening skills are so important. Anyone with the right experience and knowledge can fix a computer; what sets an exemplary technician apart is how they help the client to understand the problem and how it was solved.
Centerpoint technicians are expected to have 3-5 years’ relevant experience (network and firewall administration), post-secondary training or education, Microsoft certification, a clean driving record, and reliable means of transportation.
